More about Patek Philippe 5146/1G-001 Annual Calendar Moon 18k White Gold Porcelain Dial Bracelet

This is an 18K white gold Patek Philippe Annual Calendar 5146R-001. It has an integral stainless steel link bracelet with an 18k gold Patek Philippe double deployment clasp with a Calatrava release, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a pull out winding crown, correctors for the date at 8 and 10 o'clock on the left side case band, and a screw-down exhibition sapphire display case back. The 39mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, and angled stepped bezel are polished. The dial is off-white porcelain with applied white gold faceted "boat" shaped baton indices, and gold Arabic numeral hour markers at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock. It has white gold feuille hands with luminous inserts, and a perimeter railway-style seconds/minute track has luminous dot hour markers. The recessed sub dial at 9 o'clock has the days of the week, while the recessed dial at 3 o'clock shows the month. There is a plus/minus 35-45 hour power reserve meter at 12 o'clock, and the moon phase display and the date aperture window are at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 25 meters/90 feet, and the 11.2mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Patek Philippe Annual Calendar 5146R-001 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 315/299 movement. It's stamped with the Patek Philippe quality seal, and it's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 36 jewels, 355 components, a straight-line lever escapement, and the patented Patek Gyromax balance that's adjusted to compensate for cold, heat, isochronism, and 5 positions. Included are a shock absorber and a self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, with a 21K gold rotor. The movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). Patek introduced the moon phase display in 1927, and the Patek Philippe Annual Calendar 5146R-001.18k was introduced in the late 1990's.
