More about Jaeger LeCoultre 162.84.30 Master Hometime SS

This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Master Hometime 162.84.30. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel double fold-over buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, curved bezel, downturned lugs, and winding crown for setting both time zones are polished. There is a sapphire display case back. The dial is silver with a rhodium-plated Arabic numeral at the 9 o'clock position, luminous dots, dart-shaped hour markers, luminescent alpha hands, and a black skeletonized second date hand. It has an outer track with minute divisions, and the date aperture window is at 3 o'clock. It has a night/day display attached to local time, and there is a subsidiary small seconds dial at 6 o'clock, and a 24-hour GMT display with a silver guilloche design at 12. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, with a power reserve of 48-hours at full wind. The 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Jaeger LeCoultre Master Hometime 162.84.30 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 975H movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 39 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that’s adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a 22K gold rotor segment.

Jaeger LeCoultre produced the first Master Control watches in 1992. They passed a six-week, 1000-hour series of tests that became the benchmark examination for all JLC timepieces.
