More about Muhle Glashutte M1-28-92-NB Kampfschwimmer SS Blue Dial

This is a stainless steel Muhle Glashutte Kampfschwimmer (combat swimmer) M1-28-92-NB. It has a black Kevlar strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a slightly domed scratch resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal. It has an oversize diver's screw down winding crown with crown guards at the 4 o'clock position, and a screw down solid case back engraved with "MUHLE GLASHUTTE – MADE IN GERMANY – ENTWICKELT IN ZUSAMENARBEIT MIT DEN KAMPFSCHWIMMER DER BUNDESWHER (DEVELOPED IN COOPERATION WITH THE COMBAT SWIMMERS OF THE BUNDESWEHR)." In the center is "EDELSTAHL (STAINLESS STEEL) – WASSERDICHT BIS 30 ATM (WATER RESISTANT TO 30 ATM)," a serial number, and the Kampfschwimmer swordfish/parachute emblem with "1964 – 50 – 2014," marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of the German Navy version of the U.S. Navy Seals. The 44mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned screwed faceted lugs, and sawtooth-design uni-directional ratcheted rotating 0-60 bezel with white baton 3-minute indices, are polished/brushed. The dial is blue with pointed luminous baton hour markers with red accents at the quarter hours, and a red triangle with two dots at 12 o'clock, around a white luminous perimeter minute scale. It includes luminous white baton hands, a steel center sweep seconds hand with a red arrow tip, and there is a quick-correction date aperture window at 4 o'clock. It has a 38-hour power reserve at full winding, and it's water resistant to 300 meters/990 feet. The 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
