This is a Tantalum F.P Journe Chronometre Bleu Byblos, with a leather strap, a matching Tantalum tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has an exhibition sapphire display case back secured by 5 screws, engraved with "Invenit et Fecit," Journe's motto of "He invented it and he made it. "The 39.4mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and rounded bezel are polished. The unique open-worked dial reveals the 18k rose gold base plate of the movement, decorated with barleycorn guilloche and is circled by a bright blue chapter ring with Arabic numerals, an outer minute track, and white hands. The motif is meant to represent the sun in the blue sky of the Mediterranean. It has a subsidiary small seconds dial between the 7 and 8 o'clock positions. It includes the Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC) rating. It has a 56-hour power reserve and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 8.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The mechanical manual winding F.P. Journe caliber 1304 movement is constructed of 18K rose gold, including the base plate and bridges. They have fausses côtes embellishment. The main plate features a guilloche grain d'orage (barleycorn) pattern, and the gold bridges are finished with Geneva stripes and polished bevelled angles. It has twin barrels, 22 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a 4-arm balance with 4 adjustable timing weights, and a connecting train. The monometallic balance is adjusted in 6 positions, with a self-compensating free-sprung balance spring. The balance has four inertia weights, a flat Anachron micro-flamed spring, and mobile stud holders. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).

The Chronometre Bleu Byblos was created to commemorate the opening of the tenth F.P. Journe boutique worldwide in Lebanon in 2014. It is named after Byblos, a Phoenician port city north of Lebanon and the oldest continuously occupied city anywhere
